“Fear of the Lord” and “Turn from Evil” including a listing of all verses containing either phrase in Proverbs and Psalms, here.

Week #32  Chapter 32 of the Book of Job, start of Elihu’s accusations against Job.  Essays on suffering by John Piper and Michael Horton.

Week #33  Chapter 33 of the Book of Job, Elihu begins his argument against Job and his three friends, having spent all of Chapter 32 providing his background and the context of his remarks beginning in this chapter.  One of the core issues regarding Elihu is deciding: is he saying (1) something different from Job’s thee friends, (2) the same thing, or (3) an intensified version of what the three friends said.  My understanding is that it is #3, given with the flawed certitude of the Pharisees as contrasted in the Gospel of Matthew in Christ’s discourse in Chapter 23 compared to Chapter 5 (the Sermon on the Mount).

Week #34  Chapter 34 of the Book of Job, where Elihu presents a model, primarily of himself, as a human redeemer.

Week #35   Chapter 35 of the Book of Job.  Elihu expounds the unreachability of God by a sinful man such as Job.
